I have just downloaded and tried this new SAPGUI for Java 720 Public Preview (RC2) on my Ubuntu 9.04. Its great improvement on its GUI. Nice signature themes.

You can download from this link (ftp://ftp.sap.com/pub/sapgui/java/preview)

    Hi! I just downloaded what i think is the final version of this SAPGUI for JAVA, i’m using it on LinuxMint 8 and when i am in Tx STMS and click on the Transport Routes icon i get this error: Invalid GUI input data: APPL data given, but no dynpro

    Is there any solution for this?

    It seems that in BI 7.0 Data Warehousing- Workbench Modeling, using Java SAPGUI 7.20 if you right-click to create object you get no response. You only get context menu for existing object or catalog. In the (windows only) full client or by terminal server to the server, you can get this context menu on right-click to create new DSO,IOC etc. Is there another way to solve this as the whats missing in the documentation does not cover this?

      @bossey :

      SAPGUI for Java has a lot of lack of functionality. So I recommend you to use SAPGUI for Windows instead. Use SAPGUI for Windows for better functionality.

        Appreciate that Ardhian. But If you use linux then you use linux. I just wondered if there was a way round that in menus or key combinations. I guess I should really be complaining about why the development difference. I am sure an organization with SAP’s resources could easily enhance the Java GUI. Especially since Netweaver is Java based, But I guess this is not the forum?

        Is there a key combination or other work around. The whats missing does not mention this.
